New images in my Gallery section
In July I threw a launch party for ‘The Promise’ in Bath, and asked my guests to come in WW1 costume. This is myself, my three daughters and older grandson. It was great fun, and some of the costumes were brilliant, especially the men in uniform. My youngest daughter is expecting a baby in December and we had a moment of anxiety that she wouldn’t be able to get into her dress. But fortunately in those days they didn’t have zips, only laces, and so she was fine.
Incidentally can I point out to those of you who have asked about a book called ‘Belle’s War’, that book is The Promise. Belle’s War was just a working title whilst I was writing it.
